Welcome to the Cardiovascular section of the British Geriatrics Society
Aims and objectives:
To provide and co-ordinate expertise in the field of cardiology amongst members of the Society.
To promote high quality research.
To act as a co-ordinating group for large-scale multi-centre studies.
To promote links with the British Cardiac Society and other medical societies with a cardiac interest.
To improve the quality of care for older people with cardiac disease.
To provide an informal forum to present clinical work and research.
To attract and channel expertise from non-BGS members e.g. general practitioners, nurses, cardiac technicians, clincal and non-clinical scientists.
